Feeding Hope at Christmas – and Beyond

This Christmas, our Trooth Community came together to do something simple yet powerful: feed the homeless. For many, the festive season is a time of joy, warmth, and togetherness. But for thousands across the UK, it is a stark reminder of isolation, hunger, and uncertainty.

We set out with one clear purpose – to bring comfort, food, and dignity to those sleeping rough or struggling to get by. With the support of our tribe of volunteers, we served hot meals, shared conversation, and reminded people that they are not invisible.

The scale of the challenge is sobering:

• An estimated 309,000 people in the UK are homeless today, either rough sleeping, in temporary accommodation, or sofa-surfing.

• Research shows that only 1 in 5 homeless people are in employment, despite many desperately wanting the chance to work and rebuild their lives.

• For those who find work, unstable housing makes it incredibly difficult to stay in employment.

Our Christmas project was just the beginning. The need doesn’t end with the holidays. We are committed to doing more for communities year-round – from food drives to employment support, from mentoring to building pathways out of poverty.

But we can’t do it alone.

• We welcome volunteers to join our efforts and bring their skills, compassion, and energy to our future projects.

• We welcome donations that allow us to expand our reach, feed more people, and create more sustainable initiatives for those on the margins.

Together, we can make sure that no one is left behind – not just at Christmas, but every day.
